Dear
Friends,
I originally sent this issue on Earth Day, 2013; it seemed timely to
share it again with you on this Mother's Day, 2020.
I'm also proud to share some of my story as an artist in the May/June issue
of South X
Southeast photomagazine - a tribute to
mothers in all their splendid diversity. My contribution - a tribute to Mother Earth
and The Divine Feminine.
In her introductory letter, editor Nancy McCrary
speaks of being humbled "by the beauty,
power, majesty, and respect shown by any or all of the images and essays in
this issue. There are incredible messages and lessons here if we just look and
listen… Mother's Day is upon us, and the articles in the Mothers series
are gems. No matter if the word Mother conjures up an image of a person, an
animal, Mother Earth, or just a feeling of security and comfort, we all need
some mothering right now."
Let the healing truly commence.
And how will
she welcome us,
her ignorant prodigals?
Is forgiveness possible?
Respect,
child.
Respect.
