Dear Friends,
Valentine's
Day is an especially perfect day to express gratitude.
All of you have my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your patience while NOTEBOOKS FROM MYSTERY SCHOOL
is in production. My publisher tells me their printer is running behind
schedule; please know that if you pre-ordered, your cards should not be charged
until your books ship. We're hoping for a late March – early Spring
release.
With
Valentine's Day here, the count down to Spring feels palpable -
so the theme of this issue is the promise of good things around the corner.
Anticipation and fulfillment.
Your response
to this site is a continuing source of joy and fulfillment in my life.
Happy Hearts Day!
WHAT THE SMELL OF BOXWOOD PROMISED
An
alchemical moment
on the side of the unknowable;
a marriage, yet to be revealed.
Summer's sexual smell
crushed and distilled into narcotic.
Deep, green musk; a blanket
of warm heavy air coaxing
a dream of the impossible –
a waking vision of the possible.
